The Purpose of the Role
As a member of our sales and business development team, you will provide a major contribution to Social Nature’s overall growth. Each of our Partnerships Directors is responsible for growing multi-million dollar CPG client portfolios. This position is fully remote and open to applicants across Canada.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Sell to new CPG customers by doing your own business development (Linkedin, calls, emails, tradeshows) and responding to inbound marketing qualified leads.
- Retain and grow an existing account book by developing collegial, proactive relationships with colleagues in key departments, especially the Client Success team responsible for fulfilling deals won
- Become an expert on CPG marketing and growth strategies. Proactive intelligence gathering on CPG marketing best practices, emerging digital marketing best practices, and competitive offerings
- Diligently manage a Salesforce pipeline, tracking progress vs. goals, creating accurate sales forecasts, reporting on progress, identifying barriers, and defining tactical plans to meet and overcome near-term obstacles to meeting sales goals
What you will need to succeed in this role
- 5+ years of B2B sales and business development experience
- Relevant sales experience ideally selling digital marketing solutions to CPG brands
- Born hunter and closer with demonstrated past success in hunting for qualified sales prospects, closing large 5+ figure deals, and growing an existing sales book
- Using a consultative approach, strong track record of identifying and understanding customer needs and successfully implementing business solutions
- Proven success in managing a pipeline and closing large contracts
- Proven negotiation and closing skills
- Takes an active interest in increasing customer satisfaction and deepening customer relationships
- Business acumen with the ability to engage and interact with senior-level leadership within the client’s organization, all with high levels of empathy
- Be motivated to advance revenue growth in an entrepreneurial, rapidly growing company environment
- Conduct all activities with a high degree of integrity and professionalism
- Excellent communication skills that are clear and concise whether it’s by email, Linkedin, Zoom or phone
- Knowledge of digital marketing or experience selling to CPG clients
- Strong CRM system management and organization
What We Offer
- Competitive salary and incentive plan that is reviewed annually based on market benchmarks and performance. The base salary for this position is between $80,000 - $100,000 CAD, depending on experience. Combined with the incentive plan for this role, the expected annual On Target Earnings (OTE) is up to $150,000 CAD in your first year, which will grow annually as your portfolio does!
