0.43 FTE Continuing - Social Studies 8,

Social Studies 11, and Indigenous Studies 12

Commencing: ASAP

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

• completion of a Bachelor of Education;


• certification by or eligible to become BC certified by the BC Teacher Certification Branch;


• academic training, qualifications and recent successful experience teaching secondary level Social Studies and Indigenous Studies;


• strong classroom management skills;


• the ability and energy to work with multi-age groups and meet the needs of students with a range of learning styles and abilities using a variety of teaching strategies;


• the ability and desire to work closely with staff in a team-oriented approach to teaching and learning;


• strong interest in innovation and inquiry; and


• ability to embed local Indigenous culture and ways of knowing into teaching practices.
